New Music Monday: January 2015 Playlist

The joy of discovery was the undercurrent to this month's playlist. The list came together seamlessly as I stumbled upon countless new gems using Shazam and Spotify, and rediscovered a Simon & Garfunkel classic off the soundtrack to Wild. One of my favorite finds during a late night drive home, was a beautiful cover of Nina Simone's "Baltimore"  by the lovely, soulful songbird, Lianne La Havas. Perhaps the best new album release was Milo Greene's, Control. The album carries a moody, ambient tone but with an upbeat, dance anthem vibe.
